"The program provides eye care to people who need it most, but who are least likely to receive it. Many of the patients in areas targeted by the program have not seen a regular doctor in years and have underlying medical issues or undiagnosed conditions such as glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy." Leonard Messner, Executive Director of the Illinois Eye Institute.
